I hope that this blog with inspire other people with disabilities to enter into the martial arts. In addition, I encourage instructors and school owners to use this blog as resource for their existing students with disabilities, or to bring in new students.

Scott was the first American to ever win a gold medal in judo in the Olympics or Paralympics (2000). He also has 2 bronze medals (1996 and 2004). He was the IBSA (International blind sports association) world champion in 1998 and has bronzes from 1995 and 2003. He was the assistant coach for the 2009 Paralympic Judo team. He was also the 2nd visually impaired person to be ranked on the USA Judo elite roster.
